The systems behind digital transformation
His executive agenda connects 5G and cloud ambition with the infrastructure required to make them dependable.
Readiness is an infrastructure question
At the 2024 Global Digital Summit, Mayo joined leaders from GSMA, PTCL, Jazz, Ericsson and the wider technology ecosystem to examine infrastructure development, 5G and cloud. The strategic message is compelling: next-generation connectivity demands coordinated investment across sites, fibre, power, cloud and operations. Digital ambition becomes meaningful only when the physical and operational foundations are ready to deliver it.

Cloud adoption is often discussed as a software decision, yet reliable digital operations also depend on network availability, energy continuity, security and field support. HNL’s current portfolio spans both physical infrastructure and enterprise technology, making this convergence central to Mayo’s public profile. The insight is practical: organizations gain more from transformation when infrastructure, operational data and management processes are designed as one system rather than as disconnected projects.
